Little homelab - MX104 - MPLS

Hi,

Posted in /r/homelab originally but might not be the best R for this question.

I'm running mostly Juniper gear at home to extend my skills in networking. Currently 2xEX3300 and 1xEX2300-C + vSRX where I terminate L3 at one of the EX3300 and do routing-instances up to my vSRX (with OSPF and OSPFv3) - nothing fancy.

I have one MX104 not in use and I'm thinking of using it to start learning MPLS. Perhaps at start just to create my own WAN between the MX104 and one or two vMX, or together with the two EX3300's and my vSRX.

I'd like to "eat my own dog food" and do my network labs as realistic as possible, so I'm also thinking I'd route my two ISP connection via the MX104 and advertise them with BGP-4 down to my vSRX. This does not make a whole lot of sense as I won't be able to receive a BGP feed from any of my ISPs (yet) but it would allow me to start learning BGP.

So MPLS and BGP-4 are the use-cases I've been thinking about. What else can I explore? I know this might be out of scope but it's not about how I'd would configure my home router either...
