Exterior IP camera lightning questions

Hello there, we’re planning to install 14 IP dome cameras on the exterior of our office building. The exterior is brick. We’ll be using UTP Cat6 and the cameras will be powered by our PoE switches. The cables will NOT be exposed when outside. Some of the cable runs will be in metallic conduit. The cameras will be sealed with a silicone sealer/caulk.

Is there any risk of lightning striking the cameras and damaging our network equipment with this current setup? If so, how does your company/business go about mounting IP cameras outside?

I’ve been researching for the past hour and can’t find a solid solution. I’ve read that the lightning will strike the camera regardless but supposedly my goal is to prevent damage to the other network equipment. If the cables are concealed will I have an issue?

Thank you.
