Detailed Long Term IO or Bitrate Graphs

Hey all,

I’m looking for a way to monitor a multicast video stream I have traveling across my network. Wireshark’s I/O Graph function is great to see sub second packet rate fluctuations but is there a way to get that to run for a long period (12-24 hours)?

Wireshark starts to really choke with that much data and the results do not seem accurate.

Open to a Linux (or Windows) solutions (ideally free or inexpensive) that would allow me to graph my stream’s bitrate / packet rate over a long period to check for slight drops or spikes.

I have PRTG running a SNMP probe on my switch ports but obviously SNMP isn’t nearly real-time enough for this use case.

Thanks!
