Starting my CCNA, homelab question

Hey Guys,

I have started studying for my CCNA and I want to build myself a homelab. I know I could probably get away with using packet tracer but I tend to learn better with hands on practice. I have been researching what hardware to buy and I have some money to spend but not an endless budget. I currently have a virtualized file server at home and do a lot of file transfer over my network. Because of this I would like to have switches that are gigabit. 24 port switches are fine and I am trying to get at least one POE but its not the end of the world if I dont. I would also like to be able to run at least ios 15. I found a good local deal on a Catalyst WS-C2960-24PC-L that is POE, would this work for me if I could find 2? Also I am not very knowledgeable about cisco routers so any suggestions for what model I should look for? I think I want at least two routers and two switches. Any help is much appreciated!

Thanks!
