server access faster from outside LAN

Newbie here!

I have a server at home which I can access from outside my LAN using a domain from namecheap.

I noticed that while I'm accessing the server from outside gets much faster than when I'm in my LAN.

Should I modified the hosts file or something? How can I do it?
