Recently we ordered Centurylink for internet for our home office, with a brand new account, CenturyLink provided modem/router, and completely new wiring directly from the phone jack.
However, once we connected the service I began to see immediate intrusions from ips all over the world in the modem system log.
And here’s the strangest thing: this was a replacement reinstall due to the first modem they provided coming preinstalled with Busybox, a Linux tool that I presume was not kosher.
I’ve contacted and escalated this with Centurylink, and have been met with silence for almost a month now.
What should I do? Any guidance?
