My new task is to change the current devices at a brach site to another vendor's equipment. It is a small, 1-150 user branch site. I have some idea in my mind how to do this, but if you could share some tips and tricks or advice or any gotcha' i can avoid.
My idea is how to do it: 1) Investigating the current config, gather the startup configs and prepare the new config. 2) Power up the new devices and load the config to test if there is anything wrong. 3) Label the cabels in the old switch, dismantle the cables 4) Take out the old switches and place back the new ones 5) Connect the cables 6) Troubleshoot :)
(Actually is there any proper steps to load the config on the switch ex: set up the access ports > set up trunks > lags > acls > routing?)
