We have a server with 8 10 gigabit connections but are currently using a 1G switch and connect to the server. I would like a switch that has 1 or 2 10 gigabit connections that I would connect to the server and then 1 gigabit to clients.
I'm trying to be as economical as possible. My current plan is to use 3400cl-24G with a HP J8435A 10GbE Media Flex Module - Expansion module - 10 GigE and J8436A HP 10GbE X2-SC SR Optic Module.
Does anyone see a problem with this setup, or maybe someone know a switch that would already have these options and is better suited?
