I'm in a pretty difficult situation. I'm in the military and I was asked to check STIG compliance on networking devices. The reason I mention the military is that when units go out on exercises they are pretty bare bones on what they use. They are still required to adhere to certain security protocols. They set up local accounts on the devices and that is all that is used. I was told to get a hold of them and have them configure a local account so I can SSH in and audit their devices that way. The issue with this is they are often very difficult to get a hold of. I am pretty new to networking. Currently studying for ICND2. I am in a "figure it out" situation. If anyone has any ideas they would be greatly appreciated.
