The majority of my networking experience is with Ubiquiti and older Juniper devices. Most of the networks I design are for small businesses who don't really want to pay for UTM. I am working with a larger customer that has some fairly complex network requirements, and for switching I am going with Juniper EX3400 and EX2300 series switches, and possibly a EX4300 for the core switch if I can get a good deal on one.
I'm trying to figure out the best firewall for a network that is going to require complex rules for inter-vlan traffic and providing the best security possible within my budget. Based on some research I have done I'm trying to make a decision between the Fortigate 80E and a Juniper SRX340. After UTM, IPS, and if possible SSL inspection I need to be able to support internet speeds of up to 250Mb, if it were to drop to as much as 200Mb that would be acceptable.
If I got the Fortigate with an Enterprise Bundle or the SRX with SkyATP and UTM which would have the best performance and be the better purchase? I'm biased towards Juniper and want to get some outside opinions. I looked into Palo Alto, but that would definitely go over budget.
