We’re looking to market test our access switch suppliers. Currently we’re a Cisco estate and want to see if there is better value to be had from other suppliers.
Would anyone be able to share their experiences positive or negative of migrating away from Cisco for pure access switching or experiences of running a mixed estate?
If you did migrate did you find the savings substantial?
Would be looking at Layer 2 switches some PoE, mostly 1GbE ports with very small percentage of 10G - over a 1000 switches
