Hi, I'm a beginner in networking looking for advice. I'm looking into a gigabit ethernet switch (10-ports or more) with 10gbit ethernet, so that essentially I could transfer data simultaneously to all 1 gbe clients from that 10gbit connection, because as far as I understand, if I'll be send data from 1 gbe client to 10 gbe clients simultaneously, I'll only have 100 mbps to each of them at the same time, so in order to reach all of them at 1 gbps at the same time, I should go 10gbps on the sender.
The issue here is, most of the switches I checked that have 10 ports of 1 gbe and then 2-4 ports of 10 gbe say that is an up-link and you can connect between 10 gbe clients but it doesn't say anything about sending data from 10gbe to those 1gbe..
In other words, I'm looking for a 1 gbe 10-port switch which would accept connections from 10gbe network and would split that bandwidth between 1 gbe clients..
Sorry if I'm not clear here, so shoot any questions that you think might help better understand me :)
