Small Office Setup

I've been tasked with stabilizing the network at a small office and we're now shifting to VOIP.

We'll have 8 phones, 12 desktops (some currently using wifi as I'd rather not run cable to them -- I may cave in) and a handful of laptops.

We purchased a Netgear Orbi thinking a consumer option would suffice but we've been plagued with connection issues due to a bad firmware and poor support. It's a problem just about everyone is having right now. I have a decent amount of IT knowledge and can problem solve fairly well but setting up a non plug and play network on a budget is giving me fits. I've been trying to figure out if the Orbi Pro has the same issues but it's been inconclusive.

Can someone correct me if I'm wrong here? I want to know if this setup is plausible.

Setup:

1) Modem coming in from Spectrum

2) Either Router/Switch or high consumer grade wireless router. I already have a decent consumer router. I can shut the wireless off on it.

3) Switch (I need the ports) -- https://www.amazon.com/NETGEAR-Ethernet-Unmanaged-Protection-GS116NA/dp/B00023DRLO/ref=sr_1_13?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1541445904&sr=1-13&keywords=network+switch?

4) Wireless Access Points (2) -- Can I go with some kind of Ubiquiti unifi?

Thanks for the help!
