Mid tier switches/Collapsed core

Dealing with a small/mid network. Looking to replace aging HP2848s. I was thinking of either the Cisco 350X or 550Xs for edge and looking for recommendations on a decent distribution/core switch.

One are the Cisco 350X/550X decent? The warranty is comparable to the procurves they are replacing and the 10G uplinks will be nice for access to a distribution switch. Other than basic network access to servers/internet and VOIP/QOS, there is nothing special going on on these switches. This is why I was thinking of just a basic collapsed core setup.

For the distribution/core I was looking for 10G ports, redundant PS and a backplane to complement the Ciscos but I'm not sure what considerations to keep in mind. Its not a overly complex network.

I'm also open to other vendors, just happens to be what I'm looking at now.

In total 8 edge access, 2 distribution/acting as core. My iSCSI fabric and POE switches are in good shape. (Dell and Aruba)
