Apologies if this isn’t the right spot for this, but I came here looking for any technical info about the huge FiOS outage that occurred today in DC and surrounding areas.
If you search Twitter for FiOS DC, you’ll see tons of people reporting outages, despite Verizon’s status page claiming everything’s fine. There are also some posts on r/washingtondc and r/nova.
Some have claimed that it’s a DNS issue, and that switching to Cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 or Google’s 8.8.8.8 would alleviate the issue.
Anyone have any more info?
