Bidding small cabling jobs.

Hello all,

I have been a technician for about 5 years and am just now starting my own business. I have a connection from a job I applied to contact me asking if I could run some cables in a two level 10000 sqft business. He would like me to run 15-20 ethernet cables to various devices with his company handling the rack and stack and AP installs. They are a computer repair company by trade but they also do network installs... just not cabling for some reason. I am not sure what to quote him. I have been told anything from $100 to $300 per cable. I don't want to aim to high and scare him away but at the same time $1500 isn't gonna get me all that far. Any advice from guys who have done cable quotes? Any suggestions on how to convince him to stay on the engineering/ config side of the equipment and let me handle the full install?

TL;DR What should I quote to run 15-20 cat5e drops in a large new construction building if I am a new company? What can I do to convince a pc repair company to let me handle the full network install rack and stack / wireless APs vs just the cabling?
