Network

I wanted to upgrade my network but I wanted to have your advice on several points:

I wanted to mount a pfSense, either in a 2U housing, or buy a second-hand R210 just for that, but all the traffic passes by, logically so is 4GB enough, and a sempron for example? Or not so much

Maybe an R210 will consume less, I need how many network cards?

After I wanted to know if the configuration without touching anything was enough or it does not change anything compared to a box isp? For pfblockerng I do not think I use it because I have pi-hole, but I would add snort
