HP says that the 5400zl/ J8697A went end of support in 2015, but they just released K.16.02.0025 in July that supports it. I called HP directly and asked our reseller and they both said it was end of support. Why are they releasing new software if it's EOS? Are they just talking about hardware support? Can anyone give me a clear answer? We're required to be on hardware that is getting security patches. I dont want to have to replace all of these switches if I dont have to.
