Best way to identify what device/port on device is connected to a Cisco Switch

Basically the company doesn't trust the description on the interfaces matches what device or port it is connected to. Whilst the description does say which device and what port on said device it should be using, I need to confirm these are correct.

Now I know about the "show ip arp vlan X" and "show mac address-table int X" which has given me the MAC, VLAN and IP of some devices. Other devices comes back with multiple MACs and IPs even though its an access port.

I then need to find that IP and management interface to make sure that IP address is connected to the correct Port for that device.

Does anyone know if there is there an easier way of doing this?

Edit: This is a core switch connected to a Prod server environment, so I cant pull any cables.

I've done the Cisco devices now, it's the other boxes that are not Cisco I need to find. ie iLO for serverX or Gig port 0/2 on serverY.

So far I'm having to do those ones the hard way.
