Sonicwall NetExtender and DNS [X-Post from /r/Sysadmin]

Need a little help here wiht an issue I am facing, I am not a networking guy (though I understand it) and am hoping I can get a hand here with my issue with DNS and SonicWall Netextender

-----------

So I have a headache and it is DNS with a little NetExtender on the side.

I am trying to scan a bunch of my external computers that are on the VPN today but I am getting a name mismatch, log into DNS and see a ton of entries sharing the address, now these records clean out in well enough time, but I can't seem to get SonicWall to respect DNS updates. Internally my Windows DHCP handles that part and tells DNS to update with the new IP, so I have no issues their, externally though is different. NetExtender does not work on your DHCP server, it only works on its own DHCP so it does not want to dynamically update.

I am considering setting a GPO to force this to happen, but I don't really like the thought of that. I double checked my VPN settings and do not have an option for write-back to DNS, though the VPN is set to use my internal servers. Only thing I do not have added is NETBIOS over SSLVPN (Which may be what I need).

Anyone have an idea here? I mean worst case I do a GPO for this, though I would rather avoid that since it is 2018 after all.
