So, i've worked at this company as a "network engineer" (definitely do not deserve that title but that's what i got) for over a year and a half now. They have these what i would call MPLS connections from some of our satellite locations only they call them TLS connections. Now to me, TLS is transport layer security and is a type of encryption. I was working on a project with a vendor my company used before employing me and i mentioned it was an MPLS and he said "isn't it a TLS" and it made me realize i have no idea what these people are talking about. the only thing i can come up with is a bridged vpn connection of sorts? i'm so confused why this is a "TLS" connection. any insight?
