IP SLA dual ISP failover on a Cisco 800

Greetings!

Current setup is a Cisco 800 series with dual WAN, Gi8 to cable modem (DHCP) and Fe0 to 4G modem (NATted). I'm trying to follow the dual WAN failover tutorial here but hit a snag when I tried to add the track object to the default route. Apparently I'm not allowed to add the track object after ip route 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0 GigabitEthernet8 dhcp

When I tried to point the default route to the interface I realized it's not a recommended setup unless it's a PPP link. Is there a way around this?
