I've been looking at design for a data center interconnect between 2 sites that would provide a small bit of failover for us. I've been watching some INE NSX training trying to get up to speed on that, and it gave me some really good ideas and designs. One thing I'm not clear on is the need for external routers to connect the two DCs. What's the purpose for that? If the Nexus 9K VTEPs at the border leaf function are routing, why can't I just use those? Does everyone do it that way, or is that just a suggested design. I know there must be a reason, but I'm not certain why one would choose to do it that way. I'm sure there are other things that won't make sense, but that's it for now. Thanks for the help!
