Forgive me if this is the wrong subreddit for this but I'm looking to learn more about what a day in the life of someone who owns DNS looks like.
What are the challenges you face on a regular basis?
What other parts of the business do you typically work with or alongside?
Do you typically handle the DHCP and IP Space as well or is that a separate team?
Does your organization leverage a "free platform" like Microsoft DNS/ISC Bind or do they utilize a third party DDI vendor?
If a third party, which one and what do you like/dislike about it?
