I've only worked inside enterprise environments and I am curious how different that is from the service provider realm. I feel like enterprise networking has left me weak in a couple of areas, but stronger in a lot of areas. When I first started down the networking path I thought working for a service provider would be where my career culminated.
After 10 years I'm not sure I would want to make the switch. Every time I work with a service provider the techs seem highly siloed, and while skilled in their silo they have seemed weak in a lot of areas. Is that just the nature of service provider networking, or just the way it looks from the outside in?
