We have 2 locations in a site-2-site VPN setup and both locations internet connections have been upgraded to 150Mbps and 80+Mbps respectively. The Sonicwall TZ205Ws (we have had them awhile) are limiting our bandwidth.
I don't necessarily want to continue with Sonicwall. I am looking into pfsense but feel a little queasy thinking about buying sufficient hardware and making that work. I have my Net+ and Sec+ so I'm not completely dumb but sometimes I really feel like I am. What do you guys recommend for a firewall? I just want something I will be happy with and will keep our network secure while keeping my users somewhat happy.
Also my IT budget is flexible but the owners really don't want to think about large Capital expenditures so I would really have to push something if the cost is really high. They just expect the magic boxes in the room to work and "since we spent $30,000 on hardware 5 years ago we should be good right?"
