We've used the HP 1920-48G switches for a couple dozen of our customer projects. But they have passed end of sale now. HP has a chart where they recommend the 1920s-48G as a replacement, but they are terrible for us. The configuration management is web only (no ssh, no tftp). On top of that, I can't get LAG working correctly, it keeps creating network loops.
I've been searching for a better replacement model and looking for advice. If you deployed 1920-48G switches in the past, what have you moved to now?
I'm open to another brand (Cisco, etc) as long as it has these capabilities
• Plain text configuration files that are compatible with the 1920-48G
• ssh capable
• tftp capable
• Link aggregation (LAG) capable
• VLAN capable
• 48 ports
• 10/100/1000
• PoE NOT required
Thanks!
