A client of mine has an 800ft Cat5e run, burried under concrete. It was originally intended for an analog intercom, but was never used.
Now, the client wants his LAN extended to this building for security cameras and WiFi.
There's trees blocking line of sight, so WiFi is impractical. There's concrete everywhere, so fibre is impractical.
Can I do anything with this Cat 5e run?
I've been looking at VDSL extenders, but they seem pretty pricey for poor performance. Do I have other options?
