Stacking 2960x

Hi All,

We have an old Cisco stack that is both stacked and uplinked by it's 10/100/1000 ports.

If I replace these with 2960x switches does it make sense to buy stacking modules and cables even if the stack is still uplinked with a 10/100/1000 port?
