Hi everyone,
I'm a software engineer working at a telecom company and I lack a lot of basic knowledge about the networking side of my job. I've been able to get by alright so far, but I feel that I am handicapped by this lack of knowledge.
Does anyone have any suggestions for a book where I could get a good overview of all of the networking concepts/topics/protocols/etc.? When some of my coworkers begin talking about PE to CE over BGP I get a little lost. There is so much to learn and I don't even know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
EDIT: Thank you for all of your suggestions! My company gives me access to many learning resources (online courses) so I was planning on completing CompTIA Network+, ICND1, and ICND2 in that order. Does this make sense?
