Multiple A Records vs Alias

Using Infoblox for our DNS solution, I was looking through our list of devices and since we have a lot of hands that have access to it, there are a lot of different ways we have hosts input into the database.

We use multiple names for our network hosts, some of our hosts just have multiple A records for one IP, and others are set up with one A record and alias' attached to the A records.

Which way is the preferred way to do it?
