I have been looking at upgrading our Cisco 2960 switches. The Cisco 3850's and the Aruba 3810's seem like a good fit for us. I'm not asking what to buy. I'm more of less looking for any major pros and cons to both? Maybe I'm missing something. Maybe there's a gotcha, or maybe someone had some bad experiences with those models. I like to get our best bang for the buck, but it's obviously not worth it if there's going to be issues.
Has anyone switched from Cisco to Aruba? If so, any regrets or issues? The main reason why I'm asking is where recently a HP Procurve shop 10 years ago. However, the model that we had where kind buggy and we switched to Cisco we seemed pretty happy with them. We had a couple bugs with the 2960's but nothing to bad. Anyways, time as changed and I'm sure things have improved for both vendors. We are now reevaluating our switches again. Just curious of what you think between the two and if anyone has made a similar discussion. Thanks in advance.
