Best practice for connecting a SQL server in a production/manufacturing network, to the cloud?

Can I install two network cards one for the production network and one for the office network, and handle security with a firewall? or do I need something like the https://www.secomea.com/sitemanager-hardware/ to keep uninvited guests out. All help is much appritiated!
