So I started a IT position in a private school and decided to start studying netwokring because I felt that someone needed to in our department. The school setup was done by our ISP which I think they don't have a clue how to configure this type of setup. Students are 1:1 280Chromebooks, 500Ipads, 100 Desktops, 60POE telephones AASTRA 673I, 50 FOSCAM CAMERAS. 60 CELLPHONES, 45 aerohives for wifi, 35applev tvs and 15 chromecast.
We are using Gsuite so most of our work is done in the cloud./
Our Current setup is Firewall SonicWall4500 connected to a one SGE2010P, lightspeed Rocket Appliance with windows server 2008 r2. We have 7 sge 2010p In different areas of the building. Each Switch is a stand alone.
Considering that we are dealing with kids from 4 years to old 18 years old.
What would be the best setup for what we have now and to consider Growth?
I spoke with ISP and suggested that they check the configurations on the SonicWall 4500 and suggested a stack solution for the main site.
Any suggestions would be helpful.
