Unmanaged switch on internet

I am working with a company that has an ethernet handoff from their ISP with two usable IP addresses. Each IP is used as the outside interface of its own network with its own firewall. The two internal networks do not talk, they just share the same internet connection.

The physical setup is ethernet handoff > unmanaged 8 port switch > then one link to firewall A and one to firewall B.

Besides the main connection for both networks all running through a shitty little switch, is there any reason having an unmanaged switch out on the internet like this is a problem from a security standpoint, or otherwise?
