I'm attempting to better understand some aspects of T1 when my job requires that I very occasionally have to t/s a T1 circuit. I've read for hours on the net, but can't find an answer.
In a point to point circuit between nothing else but channels banks, where one CB is set to internal, and the other is looped; where and how does clocking work? - Using ESF, is clocking accomplished by the 6 bits used for framing? - Does the looped CB rcv the clock and then TX that back to the other CB set to internal?
Loss of Frame is based off a loss of which bit(s) in the ESF frame, and what causes it? - I have one CB (from same ckt mentioned above) that is reporting intermittent LoF with ES and SES. Is this failure being reported by the CB only because of the 193rd bit? - Because it's intermittent and the only alarm I'm seeing (no test equip on ckt yet), what could cause this?
TIA
