What we are trying to do is get a active/active environment on the ASR's. Meaning we would like to have both ISP processing outbound and inbound data. I know that Scope A/B will be limited to there respective ISP until one fails and reroutes but more like looking at all the other general traffic. Currently we have the 9K's setup in HSRP and those pieces are static. I am thinking about using HSRP for this on the ASR and pinning the BGP routes on both ISP's. However looking like I may have to add in Software redundancy , NSF, to make this truly active/active. Also, I can see a case where OSPF or IBGP could make this possible as well. Any thoughts or a pro/con list you can provide would be greatly appreciated .
