Hi guys! First post (be gentle x.x).
Anyways, I'm changing our wireless which has been Mac filtered by Ruckus's built in system to RADIUS. While I wanted to go the FreeRADIUS route, I don't know SQL yet, so I opted finally for NPS using SAM.
I'm using the instructions from here: http://ift.tt/2ycx25X
Unfortunately, I can't get a test authorization to succeed, I just get an error 65 in my logs. I even added the Administrator account with no success. I also changed Machine Groups to Windows Groups with no success. Other things I've tried: allowed unencrypted connections via network policies, set dial in properties to Allow under Local Users, nada. I'm using a ZD1200, auth is set to PAP on both sides (which at least works, CHAP failed to register at the server). I don't want to jump into certificates or Dynamic VLANs yet, I just want to bypass the stupid 128 devices per WLAN limit for now (and restrict our secondary network which has 1300+ devices so unauthorized devices can't come in).
While I know it's not highly secure, it's not my last stop either. I'll eventually in the winter break shift to certificates and further tighten the grip on our wireless.
I'm at the end of my wits. On the bright side, trying to fish out the unreachability yesterday showed a ton of ARP broadcasts so I managed to fix those issues as well. Huzzah.
