Stacking Aruba Switches over 1Gig

I just got my hands on some Aruba 2930F switches to test out as we migrate from the 2920 series. I want to start using their VSF feature but according to the documentation, I can stack with just 1Gig ethernet.

Our applications are not high bandwidth as they're mostly using ICA and VOIP. Would using maybe 2 x 1Gig ports be a bad idea? I feel like it should be because the switching logic is still handled by whatever switch is commander but I'm not really sure what communication between switches in a stack looks like. Normal stacking backplanes are over 10Gig and I guess there is like a reason for that other than bandwidth.

I mean I am probably gonna just use the 10Gig ports that are (I mean why not, right?) but curious about if other people are virtual stacking over the 1Gig ports.
