I’m quite or a pickle with a HA 5508 WLC running 8.2.170.
When we first tried to go from 8.3.102 to 8.3.141 it went bad. After the new code and the WLC started non of the access point didn’t join. We could see the WLC found and talked to the access point under ap join but no more than that. No debug on the ap, no debug on the controller. TAC was involved in a 6 hour search for what this could be. After about 5,5 hour TAC downgraded the code to 8.2.170. That worked.
Now we want to move to 8.3.150. And shocker, the same problem occurred again. On Thursday TAC will assist us in a new search for what this could be.
8.5.x is not an option because of our LAP1142. About 100+ of them.
They posted about the security issues on 8.2 and that is why we want to move up to 8.3.
