Hi All dear tech experts. I'm having little perception on how all the "software design" stuff is taking over the networking world.
I'm looking with some interest to Cisco DNA architecture, it seems to me a nice playground but have some fear of taking part to a closed tournament in a game like the software develop, where lot of teams have their say.
Do I understand wrong or you are bound to buy DNA licences with DNA ready Cisco hardware? (c9200,c9300,c9500)
Fact of the matter is the feeling that network automation is a must, but the choices is to my still too blind eyes is between
- handmade Python/Ansible: freedom, low cost, some budget in headache pills
- SD-Access: fun with less constrictions
- DNA: you're on railways. You will get to destination, but no places to see in between
I know the theme is not that easy, but focusing on a narrow scenario, say a starting budget of 100K, what hardware would you interested at? (obviously with an eye to network automation)
Thank you all!
Cheers
