To my surprise, when I started configuring an ASR 901 for the first time, I wasn't able to configure an IP address on the physical interface. I had to configure an IP on a VLAN interface. My question is, if the router is defaulted, there is a VLAN 1 interface. If I run show int status, I see that all ports are in VLAN 1. If I were to configure VLAN1 with an IP of 10.10.10.10 /24, would it work, or is there something special i'll have to do?
