Having a problem with an Arista EOS switch and ssh on the vlan virtual ip

EOS 4.15 and I have configured vrf forwarding to the vlan virtual ip but whenever I try to ssh in I get “access denied” even though I’ve given permission level 15 to the user and can’t find a reason for the denial.

Any ideas ?

Edit: the access denied is after entering credentials which I know are correct.
