Is the correct practice (to in general avoid potential loops caused by redistribution) to have a default and/or static route inside the enterprise either advertised by IGP or manually configured, that points to the internet facing router for connectivity?
The BGP Router will never naturally pass it's route details into an IGP short of redistribution otherwise?
My lecturer did not explain this very well, just that redistribution was bad and should not be used outside of a lab area unless you really know what you're doing. But he didnt explain how you get the BGP advertised route information into the enterprise/IGP if you dont use redistribute.
