So we had a situation recently where we needed to use media converters to link another switchstack back the core. We ran out of 10G SFP ports. There are two other switch stacks at this remote site. Everything works every where else. The issue is the Cisco APs connected to the switchstack using media converters are having issues. All of them. Everything else works fine. Changed, APs, ports, cables, the usual. Clients will connect, but not have any ip connectivity. The Cisco APs go back to a controller at a data center.
My question is, does a cheap tp link media converter have the ability to transmit this wireless data as I’m suspecting that is where the issue is.
