Has anyone deployed white box gear in their organisation? Would be interested in hearing how it's gone and what sort of places are using it.
For my part I'm in a fairly legacy engineering environment and it's not something we're spending any time on. There's no requirement for huge links or custom/integrated stacks and developers are focused on business processes. Seems like a technology mainly for those whose business is large scale hosting, so interested what people are seeing elsewhere.
Edit : should perhaps include a definition, I mean white box as in buying generic hardware and installing a separate OS and stack on top rather than just buying cisco/juniper/etc great that comes complete.
