Alcatel edge switches to HP core

So I'm replacing an Alcatel stack switch and rerouting the fiber cables coming from Alcatel edge switches and going straight to my HP core.

A little background. Our wired network has an HP core and HP edge switches. Works great. But when the school district upgraded the Wifi network, they laid down new fiber, an alcatel core, and alcatel edge switches (I guess budget was not an option). There are 8 1 gig coppers trunked as the uplink to the HP core. CPU usage is real high and wifi speeds are real slow so i purchased new HP fiber modules and 1 gig sfps. Most of the alcatel edges are setup as an aggregate ( 2 x 1gig).

I installed the card on the HP core, enabled it, configured the trunk and vlans, configured it as an lacp trunk, popped in the sfps, ran the fibers for the test switch, and it doesn't ping. Works when I plugged in an HP edge but no luck with Alcatel edge.

What am I doing wrong?
