Im having issues getting a new Cat9300 to talk back to Cisco to register a smart license.
The logs are showing:
*Nov 19 14:08:45.270: %SMART_LIC-3-AGENT_REG_FAILED: Smart Agent for Licensing Registration with the Cisco Smart Software Manager or satellite failed: Fail to send out Call Home HTTP message.
*Nov 19 14:08:45.270: %SMART_LIC-3-COMM_FAILED: Communications failure with the Cisco Smart Software Manager or satellite : Fail to send out Call Home HTTP message.
The profile is configured as below:
Profile Name: CiscoTAC-1
Profile status: ACTIVE
Profile mode: Anonymous Reporting Only
Reporting Data: Smart Call Home, Smart Licensing
Preferred Message Format: xml
Message Size Limit: 3145728 Bytes
Transport Method: http
HTTP address(es): http://tools.cisco.com/its/service/oddce/services/DDCEService
https://72.163.4.38/its/service/oddce/services/DDCEService
https://tools.cisco.com/its/service/oddce/services/DDCEService
Other address(es): default
The switch is running with IP routing enabled and all interfaces are in a VRF of some kind. Ive configured the source-interface to be an interface within the VRF which has internet access, and i have configured a name-server globally and within the VRF. From the VRF i can reach the configured HTTP addresses.
The logs are not being very descriptive, and i have enabled debugging for call-home and smart licensing.
Anyone able to throw me some pointers? Google-fu is letting me down a bit, ive raised via TAC, but awaiting their response
