I have a Cisco 871 router that was given to me from work. I know it’s a very old and end of life support device, but I want to try and set something up so I can VPN into my home network when Im out in public places as well as get my laptop tp be on my home network to RDP into my home lab so I can tinker with it when Im on my lunch break and down time. Will this guide get me the desired effect for both or will it only cover the first part of my goal? Thanks in advance for any guidance. Im not familiar with Cisco devices ao if theres anything I need to watch out for when updating the FW or anything please point the obvious if there’s anything to look out for.
