Hello all!
Im in the process of looking around what is best for an office size network.
From my experiences, based on 10 employees or so, there usually is about x3 of devices appearing. Which means i ahve about 30-40 devices running on the network.
So this time, when im designing the network i am looking at getting some proper infra installed.
Im quite lost as to what hardware am I suppose to acquire. I'm based in Singapore, so we uses a
Modem > Router/Switch/AP > Clients/Users
But often the case, such router/switch/ap combo doesn't operate well for such an amount of users.
So i was thinking if i should get either of the setup
- Modem > UBNT EdgeRouter > 2 APs >Clients
- Modem > Asus AC86U > Clients
Would such a layout work? And would there be any impact on performance? Like when someone uses VoIP, Skype, and all?
Some other details of the network i have in mind:
- Fiber 500mbps [ISP]
- No need for wired clients
